Teatr Ósmego Dnia „Stracony Sen” / Polska, Poznań
Spektakl poświęcamy wszystkim głodomorom świata, istotom niegodnym życia, ludzkim śmieciom, zbędnym balastom zdrowego społeczeństwa. Chcemy w nim przywołać i wyprowadzić na ulice charaktery i sytuacje z utworów literackich i zapisków Franza Kafki. Odczuć wspólnie z widownią, często przypadkową, napięcia, lęki i groźby przywoływane w „Kolonii karnej”, „Przemianie” czy „Procesie”. Chcemy skonfrontować je z naszą publicznością i udowodnić, że światy Kafki nie są hermetyczne, ale dotyczą sytuacji uniwersalnych, ważnych dla każdej i każdego z nas. Głodomory wszystkich krajów łączcie się!
Teatr Ósmego Dnia to najsłynniejsza polska grupa teatralna wywodząca się ze studenckiego teatru kontrkulturowego lat 60., założona w 1964 przez studentów i studentki polonistyki Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu. Dziś "Ósemki" to zespół-legenda, symbol teatru zaangażowanego pulsującego rytmem najważniejszych wydarzeń politycznych i społecznych. "Ósemki" krzykliwe, pełne ruchu i symbolicznego gestu, stające twarzą w twarz z publicznością, stały się jedną z głównych grup swojego nurtu w Europie.

Join us for the opening of the 28th International Street and Open-Air Theatres Festival FETA 2026!
Following the official opening ceremony, the square in front of FORUM Gdańsk will be taken over by characters and imagery inspired by the world of Franz Kafka. A surreal reality will enter the heart of the city, transforming the festival space into an opening performance filled with tension, unease, and grotesque beauty.

About the show:
The show dedicated to all starvelings of the world, creatures that are not worthy to live, human trash, unnecessary ballast on the healthy society. It recalls and brings to life on the street figures and situations form Franz Kafka’s literary works and his writings. It evokes the tensions, fears and threats referred to in “The Metamorphosis”, “In the Penal Colony”, and “The Trial”. Confronting them with the audience, often accidental viewers, it proves that Kafka’s worlds are not hermetic but concern universal situations that are important to everyone.
About the theatre:
Teatr Ósmego Dnia is the most famous Polish theatre ensemble originating from the student counterculture theatre of the 1960s. Established in 1964 by students of the Polish studies at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, it is now an iconic group, a symbol of engaged theatre pulsating with the rhythm of the most important political and social events. This loud group, employing a lot of movement and symbolic gestures and standing face to face with the audience, has become one of the main theatres of their kind in Europe.
