Legendy eksperymentalnego hip-hopu, dälek, powracają z najnowszym albumem „Brilliance of a Falling Moon”. Album, zaczerpnięty z fragmentu powieści Erika Larsona „W ogrodzie bestii” z 2011 roku, przedstawia ognisty obraz życia i oporu w faszystowskiej Ameryce.
Dälek nie tylko zawsze prezentował w swojej muzyce niezaprzeczalną polityczną postawę, ale także wpisuje się w nurt śmiałego, rewolucyjnego hip-hopu, którego pionierami byli Public Enemy i The Bomb Squad. Dälek spędził dekady, tworząc unikalną niszę łączącą hardcore hip-hop, noise i radykalne podejście do brzmienia.
Założony przez Willa Brooksa (znanego jako MC dälek) i Alapa Momina (znanego jako Oktopus), dälek zadebiutował w 1998 roku utworem Negro Necro Nekros – dźwiękowym majstersztykiem zbudowanym na grzmiących bębnach, błogich, ambientowych sekcjach i chropowatych, przenikliwych tekstach. Na przełomowych albumach, takich jak „From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots” (2002), „Absence” (2005), „Abandoned Language” (2007) i „Gutter Tactics” (2009), dälek stworzył szablon, który nadał rapowi zupełnie nowe, fakturowe i strukturalne wymiary.
Z takim muzycznym i politycznym rodowodem, ma sens, że dälek powrócił z tak aktualnym albumem, który odzwierciedla wszystkie nasze frustracje.
Koncert dofinansowany jest z budżetu Miasta Poznania i odbywa się w ramach cyklu koncertowego LASu w Pawilonie.

Experimental Hip-Hop legends dälek return with their latest full-length album, Brilliance of a Falling Moon. Taking its name from a section of Erik Larson’s 2011 novel In The Garden of Beasts, the album paints a fiery portrait of life and resistance in fascist America.
Not only has dälek always presented an undiluted political stance in their music, the band is part of the continuum of bold, revolutionary hip-hop pioneered by Public Enemy and The Bomb Squad. dälek has spent decades carving out a unique niche fusing hardcore Hip Hop, noise and a radical approach to sound.
Founded by Will Brooks (aka MC dälek) and Alap Momin (aka Oktopus), dälek debuted in 1998 with Negro Necro Nekros, a sonic tour de force built upon thunderous drums, blissful ambient sections, and gritty, insightful lyrics. On watershed albums like 2002’s From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots (2002), Absence (2005), Abandoned Language (2007), and 2009’s Gutter Tactics (2009), dälek laid a template that added completely new textural and structural dimensions to rap music.
With this kind of musical and political pedigree, it makes sense that dälek would return with such a timely record that reflects all of our frustrations.
The concert is co-financed from the budget of the city of Poznań and takes place as part of the LAS concert series in the Pawilon.
